Felipe Llavallol

Second VicePresident of Sala de Representantes (name given to the Board of Representatives
of Buenos Aires in the period 1820-1854); Member of the State Council; Minister
of the Treasury; Chairman of the Province Constituent Convention; Senator for this
Province (in two terms); President of the Senate of this Province (1856-1860); Member
of Governmental Advisory Council; Chairman of the FCO ( West Railway System); Director
of Banco Provincia .
His father, Mr.Jaime Llavallol y Del Riú was a merchant; his mother’s name was María
Gertrudis Merlo.
Llavallol finished his studies and devoted to the activity his father did, by means
of which he acquired a considerable position; this led him to enter into the politic
sphere of that time.
